Innovate UK’s Global Business Accelerator Programme, delivered by the Enterprise Europe Network, is organising a visit to India for businesses focused on Circular Economy. The programme aims to help SMEs build and increase knowledge on circular economy initiatives in India. Delegates will have the opportunity to meet key industry stakeholders, develop innovative solutions, commercial contacts and knowledge transfer partners based in Hyderabad and Bengaluru (Bangalore).

THE PROGRAMME

The Global Business Accelerator Programme is designed to stimulate international innovation collaboration and opportunity with in strategic technology sectors. The programme will be divided into 3 structured phases:

Getting ready for the market – Workshop on Circular Economy and strategic planning

Visiting the market – Site visits and meetings with leading industry experts, researcher and innovative collaborative partners

Exploring the opportunity – Support in developing new solutions, accessing finance and commercialisation

WHY INDIA?

India has experienced rapid and sustained becoming the world’s third fastest growing economy. With a young population and emerging manufacturing sector, India is best poised to create valuable development and innovative regeneration through its developing Circular Economy initiatives.

India is heavily engaged in new and innovative approaches to regenerate its cities, under the Smart Cities initiative. The Circular Economy in this manufacturing nation sits at the core of these actions creating a wealth of opportunities for research, development and commercialisation.

FUNDING

For eligible companies, the visit will be funded through the Global Business Accelerator Programme, including, flights, five nights’ accommodation (one representative per company).

BENEFITS OF ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME

• Exclusive access and a programme of meetings with key businesses and stakeholders, across Hyderabad and Bangalore

• The three phase programme will include a pre-visit briefing on market and sector information, as well as, pitch preparation and post-visit support to develop new solutions, access finance and commercialise

THE COST

• On acceptance to the Accelerator Programme, a commitment fee of £300 will be required from each successful participant to secure your place, which will be returned on completion of the programme and agreed action plan.

• Non-attendance on the programme after formal acceptance may result in forfeiting some or the entire fee.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS AND SUBSIDIES

This visit is part of Innovate UK’s Global Business Accelerator Programme. For approved companies, Innovate UK will organise and fund flights, five nights’ accommodation and meals.

To participate in this visit, your business must be established in the UK.
