Saudi National Biotechnology Incubator
Badir for Biotechnology
Oxford Innovation Ltd is currently engaged by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish and manage their first National Biotechnology Incubator. The Centre has been fitted out and equipped and has been operational since 2009. Oxford Innovation has provided training to Badir staff on running an incubator and to entrepreneurs located in the incubator on growing their business.


BADIR for Biotechnology has been established by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) as the national biotechnology incubator. It fosters the development of Saudi Arabian start up and pre-start up biotechnology businesses with growth potential by delivering tailor-made assistance, specific to the business and entrepreneurs’ development needs. Services include all aspects of business mentoring, intellectual property development support and laboratory facilities.

We manage two programmes as part of Grow Cornwall. These are Starting a High Growth Business and Coaching for High Growth.

Starting a High Growth Business is for young companies (under 12 months old) or individuals with a good business idea who want to get started and could benefit from up to 20 days hands-on assistance.

Coaching for High Growth offers up to 30 days of intensive coaching and assistance to SMEs (over 3 years old) to support a realisation of growth potential.
