€30bn of Horizon 2020 funding announced

The European Commission has published details of the Horizon 2020 work programme, which sets out how it will invest €30 billion of funding from 2018 to 2020. In particular, Horizon 2020 will fund a new €2.7 billion European Innovation Council, which will provide support to innovative firms across all sectors to help them grow. It will also fund a range of initiatives such as delivering low-carbon technologies, growing the circular economy and accelerating the digitisation of European industry and services.
