Roope has spent roughly half of his career setting up, running and growing businesses; the other half coaching, mentoring and advising others.
Although very much a marketer at heart, Roope nevertheless has broad SME business and management experience. He has worked in a range of B2B and B2C sectors, including software, mechanical engineering, consumer durables, leisure & hospitality, and consultancy.
Roope’s specialty is international business development, including market selection and routes to market, channel strategy, international marketing, as well as overall internationalisation of business models. He also has experience of IP and technology licensing, franchising and joint ventures.
Roope has a degree and postgraduate qualification in management, and a law degree.
He joined Oxford Innovation in October 2020.
